Who We Are
Ours is to promote smart start by giving equal opportunity of quality early childhood experiences to vulnerable children.
Welcome to Toy Library Association of Kenya (TLA-KE). As an organization, we strive to improve early childhood experiences in making Kenya a better environment by creating and expanding space for play and play-based early learning opportunities for all young children. The early childhood space requires innovation if any future gains in adulthood are to be achieved. The toy library concept and play group programme are therefore focusing on school readiness, learning support and interventions. Competencies achieved by children through the programme are needed for them to excel in formal school and to achieve holistic development.
“History will judge us by the difference we make in the everyday lives of children”
Toy Library Association of Kenya (TLA-KE) is affiliated to International Toy Library Association (ITLA). TLA-KE founder is an International Toy Library Association (ITLA) World Board Member and the Africa Continental Link person in the dissemination of the toy library concept in Africa.
What our Happy Parents Say
Article 31 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child
“Children have the right to rest and leisure and to engage in play and recreation activities appropriate to age of a child, and to participate freely in cultural activities. The state parties have a duty to recognize and promote this right”.
I will definitely recommend this agency to everyone I know. Any parent can be certain that their babies will be safe and looked after by these teachers and babysitters.
It’s very important for a mother to have a back-up plan in case you need to leave for work unexpectedly or go on a business trip, and you need to leave your kids with someone.
